Zdenka Kramplova was born on August 7, 1957 in Krupina, Central Slovakia. She is of Slovak nationality and married. IN 1981 she graduated from the Agricultural Academy in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She worked as an editor with the Priroda(Nature) publishing house for ten years and also translated books and proffesional articles. In 1987 the Slovak Literary Found awarded her for her translations.
Kramplova was Premier Vladimir Meciar`s aide in the sphere of parliament, parties and civic associations between 1992 and 1994. In 1994 she was appointed the head of the Slovak Government Office and January 1997 the head of the Foreign Ministry Office.
