The Slovak Cultural and Information Centre (SCIC) is an information and cultural organization serving Canada. It was established by the Matica Slovenska Foundation. The mandate of SCIC, as the name implies, is to deal with cultural and information aspects as they relate to Slovak Republic. The information aspects are in all fields except trade and tourism, for the purpose of increasing knowledge about Slovak society and culture and promoting informational, cultural and academic exchange between Slovakia and Canada. It serves the media, and public and private institutions as well as the general public.
