There were a few topics
that were not immediately related to
Slovak affairs, but many of the speakers
were themselves members of our community
and most had been involved with volunteer
organizations - such as dance troupes,
church groups, or fraternal
organizations. Alena Sleziak, who is of
Slovak origin herself, talked about the
changing role of women's work and Jim
Yanchula, a city planner, gave us good
hints on how to organize our time so as
to get useful work done. |
