World Year of Slovaks
Svetový rok Slovákov

The World Year of Slovaks starts on July 17th 1997 and ends on September 1, 1998. Between these two dates, Slovaks all around the world will work together on getting worlds attention on Slovakia and showing the world Slovak values and achievements.

The organizers believe that World year of Slovaks will contribute to focusing attention on the connections between the destiny of Slovaks and Slovakia and the whole world. It will also be filled with many cultural events, anniversaries and festivals, including two summer festivals of Slovak youth; in the USA in 1997 and in Slovakia in 1998.
