Ernie is married to Sandy Dethridge and they now live near Ottawa in the town of Nepean .They have one son Stefan who is currently a university student at Carlton University in Ottawa. Sandra holds a Masters Degree in Physical and Occupational Therapy and is also pursuing a successful career in that field. Besides the demands of a challenging job Ernie finds time to be heavily involved with the Kiwanis International Charitable organization. This past October Ernie was presented with the Osbourne Award for exemplary service to his community. On Christmas Day you will find Ernie and Sandy at a Hostel serving Christmas Dinner to the less fortunate. Along with Sandy he has acquired an excellent Canadian art Collection with an emphasis on Eskimo Innuit and North American Indian Art . Acknowledgements - information on Ernie provided by Anne Bies Siska. Andrew Tapajna Andrew was born in Bradlo on March 17, 1935. His parents were Andrej Tapajna and Maria Mican ( Micanova) of Bradlo. Andrew was born in a log cabin at Bradlo making him one of the few actual Bradlo Babies . Andrew attended McMaster University and received his B.Sc. In Honours physics in 1960. He received his M.Sc. In Physics from the University of Toronto in 1961. He joined the faculty of Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto, teaching Mathematics and Physics, and then joined Mohawk College in Hamilton. He later became Executive Vice President of Finance and administration at Mohawk College . He retired from Mohawk in January, 1995. He worked on a project to restore the Smithville Train Station, and continues to work on such projects as Habitat, and the Bradlo Project.He is also the Vice President of the Board of the Hamilton Chapter of the Canadian Club, sits on five other community boards--The McMaster Community Homes, Dawn Patrol Group Homes, Hamilton region Arts Council, (HRAC),Hamilton Multicultural Council, The West Lincoln Historical Society and is active with Ceso.Saco Canadian Volunteer Advisers to Business. He is also a talented scenery photographer. Andrew married Dorothy Croston on August 25, 1962. They reside in Dundas Ontario. Dorothy holds a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences from McMaster University and currently works as a teacher. Dorothy and Andrew have three children:
