In addition the new Ambassador of Slovakia to Canada, Mr. Miroslav Mikolášik with his delegation, Mr. Stanislav Opiela, Charge D'affairs of SR, Mr. Peter Hulenyi, Cultural Attaché of SR, and Mr. Stanislav Polomsky joined the list of honoured guests.  It was also a pleasure to have amongst us the director of Vršatec who acted as the Slovak Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Jozef Martinka, and the Mayor of Dubnica nad Vahom, Mr. Štefan Štefanec.  Ms. Vierka Petkovsky,  narrator for "The Ambassadors of Culture" video, was the English Master of Ceremonies for the evening.

The honoured guests were all warmly welcomed by the over 200 lovers of Slovak culture, including leaders of various Slovak organizations such as Mrs. Margaret Dvorsky of the Slovak Canadian National Council, Mr. Tibor Divinec and Mrs. Helen Dankova from the Slovak Canadian League, numerous reverends and fathers of Slovak churches and Slovaks from as far away as Thunder Bay, Ontario and Montréal, Québec.
