Travelling for pleasure or business is something we all view with both a sense of adventure and a sense of dread. The
adventure comes through the new life experiences, new friends and the new stories we will have to talk about when we get back. The sense of dread comes from the anxiety of meeting new people and cultures
that we do not totally comprehend, understand or are prepared to adequately interact with. This section is designed to alleviate some of those travel trepidations, by enriching our vocabulary so that we can handle
ourselves while speaking Slovak in restaurants, banks, stores, tourist agencies, post offices as well as dealing with everyday problems that may arise when we travel in a country where we should not expect the hosts to
speak English. |
